| | | | | | Danish Wind Companies Collaborate in China
| | | | Today, five Danish suppliers to the Chinese wind market opened a joint factory in the development area, Wuqing, in the fringe of Beijing. The purpose of the joint factory is to share knowledge and contacts on the complex Chinese Market which has a great potential but is hard to penetrate.

| | | | It is the companies Resolux, Lund & Sørensen, Hydra Grene, DAFA and C. C. Jensen that got the idea to make a joint Chinese campaign. The companies each deliver a different type of components to the wind market and are therefore not competitors – but they must help each other create contact and, in the long term, orders in China.
- Danish wind companies are already leading when it comes to technology on the wind market and when Danish companies join forces and collaborate like this, they will get a really strong position, says Minister for the Environment, Karen Elleman (Liberal Party), who was present at the opening ceremony and helped inaugurate the new factory.
Great Possibilities The Chinese wind market grows faster than any other place in the world and it is expected that China, within 10 years, has passed USA as the world’s largest wind market. And even though Danish wind manufacturers like Vestas and Siemens are doing well in China, the locale Chinese manufacturers dominate the market. Therefore, it is important to be present locally if you want to make it on the Chinese market.
- The Chinese prefers to buy Chinese, so if we are to make it in China, we have to be present locally, produce locally and deliver locally, says Ulrich Ritsing, Chairman of the board in Danish Export Association.
Famous in China However, the possibilities for collaborations with the Chinese manufacturers are present for the Danish sub-suppliers. Danish wind companies have a good reputation in China, believes Zhang Yong, district mayor in the Wuqing district.
- Denmark has the best wind technology in the world, and China has a great market. So I believe Danes have great possibilities in China. As a matter of fact the Chinese wind manufacturers are looking for a way to upgrade their technology standard, so now is the time to start the collaboration, says Zhang Yong.
